Kristy Bryan and her 3-year-old son were killed on Friday by a house fire in Rolesville. Her other son was taken to UNC Hospital where he’s listed in critical but stable condition.

"Brenda Jenkins Dixon died from carbon monoxide when someone set fire to her home.
Her son is on trial, accused of setting the fatal fire, but defense attorneys says the 48-year-old man didn’t do it." Gibble is charged with first-degree murder and arson in the 2013 death of his mother Brenda Jenkins Dixon.

"Fire expert Sandy Kromenacker told jurors that the fire was set around 2:30 a.m. If his investigation rings true, Gibble would’ve been picking up his girlfriend in north Charlotte when someone else was killing his mother."
