Our senior investigator, Sandy Kromenacker, has the technical knowledge to determine fire origin and cause and the trial experience as an expert witness to provide attorneys and other professionals with the technical assistance to investigate and evaluate a wide range of incidents and failures that are central to litigation and insurance claims. Furthermore, he has assisted both the defense and prosecution in criminal and homicide trials and the defense and plaintiffs in civil litigation involving arson, product failure, property loss, personal injury, and loss of life.
FFCI goes beyond fire origin and cause determinations to evaluate other factors, such as code compliance and product failure in order to assess responsibility for injury, death, and/or property loss. As a state and federal court qualified fire origin and cause expert witness, he is experienced in case review of fire incidents including analysis of the reports, documents, and evidence from opposing experts. With over 3300 cases behind him, our senior investigator has been called on many times by attorneys to review fire incident cases long after the smoke has cleared. By thoroughly examining fire origin and cause documentation, fire scene evidence, witness statements, fire and police reports, and researching product information, Sandy provides an objective unbiased evaluation of the fire or explosion incident. With this thorough analysis, he is often able to provide additional opinions and possibilities which might have been overlooked in an initial investigation. As a Certified Fire Investigator (CFI ), Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator/Instructor (CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI), and Certified Fire Investigator Instructor (CFII) through both the International Association of Arson Investigators and National Association of Fire Investigators as well as holding a Private Investigator’s License in North Carolina, Sandy has the training, education, and experience to assist with all aspects of case review - from digging out the scene to expert testimony. As a college instructor, he has decades of experience presenting technical information in a way that his students or members of a jury can understand. Investigations of fires and related events often lead to court dates. Fire origin and cause experts are needed to evaluate the myriad types of fires and circumstances that determine who is ultimately responsible. Turn to FFCI and Sandy Kromenacker when you need fire origin and cause expert opinions and expert witness testimony that is objective, accurate, and unbiased. |
